Instal at Lorne Sculpture Biennale 2016

Carolyn Cardinet - Victoria

Carolyn Cardinet’s art practice reflects on the plastic waste of our consumerist society.  She collects and use plastic waste found on beaches, streets and around her studio, to create monochromatic large plastic installations.

Plastic makes its way into our environment and our waterways to end up into our seas. Plastic contributes to polluting the ocean, impacts sea and bird life as well as humans as it enters our food chain. Carolyn’s aim is to create awareness in this 70-year old legacy with large opalescent installation work to mirror this titanic problem that spreads around the globe and is cause for immediate action worldwide.
