Children’s Week is an annual event celebrated Australia wide aimed at championing children's right to enjoy their childhood.
BOAA ART 2018 will celebrate Children’s Week with a series of lunch time music events, art creation activities and art play programs.
Playgroup Victoria is teaming up with BOAA to offer a series of daily pop up art play programs.
Taking place at Loreto Point, Lake Wendouree, between 10:00am and 11:00, these activities provide fun and play for children and caregivers. At a pop-up playgroup families learn and grow with specially designed activities that foster development and happy faces!
On Wednesday, 24th October, kindie rock band The Mudcakes will perform ‘Music for Little Monkeys’, ideal for ages 2 to 6. at The Mining Exchange.
On Saturday, 27th October, The Mexican Music Man will be bringing along a wide range of exotic instruments to Loreto Point to encourage kids and adults alike to get involved in making some noise!
It’s not all for the little ones though!!
The week will end on Sunday, 28th October, with a youth focused event in the Eureka Stockade Memorial Gardens. BOAA will be celebrating the Art of Destruction by teaming up with BOX WARS. This will be an action packed afternoon with BOX WARS will run a workshop, followed by a Gold Rush themed battle.
