Scott Fredericks, Pete Gregg & Diokno Pasilan - Ballarat

A collaboration between artists Scott Fredericks, Pete Gregg and Diokno Pasilan, Skip in Cast, is a one to one scale cast of landfill from within the vessel of a skip bin.  It depicts the confronting realities and sheer volume of consumer waste.  The work juxtaposes the humble position of a rubbish container and the unseen potential contained within to create evocative structures that question people’s idea of waste and its environmental consequence.

Scott Fredericks - born in Corowa, rural New South Wales and now living in Ballarat, Scott is a photographer, artist and a registered green builder.  He has had a lifelong association with the visual and performing arts, with his work regularly exhibited.  Fredericks photography is primarily inquisitive and documentary in nature, whilst his sculptural projects often present environmental and social commentaries.
Pete Gregg - Ballarat-based artist, Pete studied art and design at Prahran Institute of Technology in the mid ‘70s.  He has recently returned to making and exhibiting art after a long hiatus (The Dead Years).
Diokno Pasilan - since immigrating to Australia from the Philippines, Diokno has maintained an art practice that encompasses installation, performance, video, painting, photography and music making, sharing his mix of cultural influences with communities through skills-sharing workshops and collaborative practice.
