Celebrating the ALF Grand Final public holiday, BOAA is hosting a party at the Mechanics Institute.
With music by three time Aria nominated band, Dallas Crane, supported by Sydney's Fox Company, and performance art by Max Sharam, The Art of Footy will be a night to remember.
Dallas Crane are a triple ARIA Award nominated Australian alternative rock band from Melbourne. Their sound has been described as ‘timeless, like denim, scuffed boots and twanging guitars.’ Lead singer Dave Larkin’s voice has been compared to classic rock vocalists, Bon Scott, Axel rose, Jimmy Barnes and Brian Johnson.
Their career spans 20 years with major successes including the Australian Live Music Award for best live band, sold out headlining Australian Tours, top billing at the St. Kilda Festival, coveted spots at the South by South West Festival in Texas and touring as opening act for Jimmy Barnes as well as UK legends The Who.
Born in Sydney'’s inner west, Fox Company are an unapologetic good-time rock ‘n roll band picking up where bands like AC/DC and Bon Jovi left off. Their anthemic, solo – saturated singles ‘Electrifying’ and ‘Every Little Thing’ are both currently making waves on the Triple J Unearthed' Rock charts.
Featuring Cal Reily on vocals, Paul Rules on bass, Blake Poulton on guitar and Ben Sanderson on drums, the band are quickly gaining a faithful live audience drawn to their high energy live performances, selling out headline shows at all the top Sydney rock venues.
Since wrapping up their recent Australian tour, the band are in the studio working with producer Stevie Knight of The Dead Love and are set to release their long awaited debut EP later this year.
