In The Bag: When Enough Is Enough

Sally Kidall - New South Wales

Through site-specific environmental installations, Sally seeks to challenge expectations and cultural homogeneity. She travels internationally creating her vast ephemeral interventions within challenging locations and buildings of interest, beyond the restraints of the gallery. She endeavours to inspire and challenge a wider audience, evoking thoughts/questions and stimulating discussion.

With a background in sculpture and MA at Portsmouth Uni, UK, she has over 35 years of making her international practise. Last year Sally made a work for The Story of Space in Panjim and another for the Museum of Goa, India. She was invited to participate in the Global Nomadic Art Project Residency in the Loire Valley, France, She representing Australia in Kiev, Ukraine at the inaugural International Contemporary Sculpture Festival 2012 in collaboration with Yorkshire Sculpture Park. She has exhibited through out the UK, Spain, Korea, France, India, New Zealand.

Sally is a regular exhibitor at Sculpture by the Sea – Bondi, Western Sydney Uni. Sculpture Awards, Sculpture at Scenic World, Palmer Sculpture Biennale, Eden Unearthed, Hill End Residency and Sculpture at Barangaroo, Sydney.
