BOAA ART 2018 will tell Australian stories; stories of our past, present and future - reflecting what it means to be Australian today.  BOAA ART 2018 will have a strong Aboriginal focus, as well as celebrating our multiculturalism.

This six-week event will be a coming of age for Australian audiences and artists alike.

Festival Program 2018

The inaugural BOAA ART 2018 marks the beginning of a series of significant arts related events being presented in Ballarat. As an independent, not for profit organisation, BOAA ART 2018 relies on funding from private, business, Local, State and Federal governments. BOAA ART 2018 will present artwork by 150 of Australia's most innovative artists between 21 September - 6 November 2018, incorporating music, food and wine events.

The Numina Sisters

The Numina Sisters hail from the Northern Territory and are an incredibly talented family.  Sisters Salena, Lanita, Louise, Sharron, Jacinta, Caroline, along with their mother Barbara, are all painters and bring to BOAA ART 2018 their strong sense of family & community.  
The Numina Sisters will be exhibiting at the Art Gallery of Ballarat during BOAA ART 2018.

Get Involved

It takes a village to make history and it takes a village to create a festival that will transform, motivate, enrich and enliven. Through our amazing supporters we can make a difference and in turn showcase the diversity of Australian Arts and culture. So buy a ticket, sponsor a project or become a volunteer and help make BOAA a goer.
As our DGR status (Deductible Gift Recipient) finalises, sponsors can donate through the Australian Cultural Fund for a tax deductible receipt.  Donating to BOAA is a wonderful way to support the arts in the lead up the the end of the financial year.

 

Tickets Sales

Early Bird tickets now on sale!!

Buy your tickets before April 30 and go into the draw to win a $5,000 voucher to buy art from BOAA ART 2018. A great way to start or build a collection and support Australian artists.

Tickets start at $25.00 for a two day pass, even less with concessions. Tickets include access to all exhibitions, talks, performance art happenings, music events and BOAA ART 2018 transport options. Including looping mini buses, rickshaws & bicycles. 

Volunteer Opportunities

21 September - 6 November 2018
Volunteer and become part of our BOAA Task Force. No experience necessary, just a commitment to have fun, enjoy art and welcome our BOAA ART 2018 visitors to Ballarat. 

June- September 2018
Have you a trade or handyperson background, do you have some time to spare? BOAA ART 2018 needs you to help us build the infrastructure required to make BOAA ART 2018 the best event ever. Join Derek John at BOAA HQ in Armstrong Street North, Ballarat between June-September. 

Become a Project Supporter

There are over 150 individual projects that need support, support which goes directly to covering artists fees. Support making it possible for artists to create new work and get artwork to Ballarat to be exhibited.

Project support packages range between $2,500 and $25,000.

 
 

BOAA Connect

BOAA Connect is our education and community engagement program, offering a series of immersive activities, tours, artist talks and personal development opportunities. BOAA Connect is about engaging with a variety of age groups across all abilities, helping to build a more creative, intuitive society.

 

SCHOOLS PROGRAM

BOAA Connect School program runs every Monday and Tuesday from 8 - 30 October 2018. Our  tailored programs include half day and full day sessions.  For more information...

 

CHILDREN'S WEEK

Between 22 October and 28 October BOAA Art 2018 will be celebrating Children's Week with a series of  0-5  aged activities during the day and after school and weekend engagement projects for school aged kids. 

SENIORS WEEK

As a part of Seniors Month we are presenting BOAA's Seniors Week between 7 and 14 October. Join us for workshops, tours , lunchtime concerts and other BOAA activities.  For more information...

 

OUR DIVERSE COMMUNITY

BOAA Art 2018 will be reaching out across the Ballarat community with the aim of engaging and involving those members living with isolation. Help us expand this program by becoming our BOAA Connect sponsor. Art is for all, is the window to our souls and BOAA Art 2018 provides an opportunity to do things differently.
